I really have been questioning all my diet plans, why I fail and how do I make it a lifestyle. I don't want to do any more extreme diets because I don't stick to them. I need some balance and something I will do for the rest of my life. I was going back over my blog to see what worked for me before and where I went wrong. I decided that I was doing good when I cut out sugar and white flour from my diet. I don't feel as if I am limiting myself to only certain food and I can have anything I want as long as I tweak it. I feel that I needed to add more fruits and veggies to that plan. I will try and continue to post everyday with my food consumption for that day. I will also be working out at least 3x a week starting soon. I feel that I can do this and do it as a lifestyle, not a diet :)

Day 7
So I am just about to end my first week on Medifast. I have lost 7lbs this week (YEAH ME) but I have already changed a few of my meals. I just couldn't eat some of that food. REALLY GROSS, I am not sure how my dad did it. I am going to eat around 1200 calories a day and eat every 2-3 hours. I am hungry today but I will have to drink water to fill up my tummy between meals :)

Medifast Day 2
Today was better than I hoped for!! The food was a little bit better thanks to some tweaking on my part. No dizziness or headaches and I wasn't hungry all day either. It was definitely easier. I think my body is adjusting well to no sugar and carbs. I will weigh in on Monday and I will post again before then, probably not everyday thou!!

D Day is here!
I started Medifast today and so far I have survived :) I am feeling weak, light headed and now I have a headache. I really hate detoxing my body!! I have eaten 5 small meals so far today and I have 1 more to go!! The oatmeal was awful (I will try a few things to make it better tomorrow... fingers crossed), the snack bar was good, the chili was alright, the soy crisps were good and I had green beans and pork tenderloin for dinner, I will finish my night off with a shake. I hate starting something new because all I do is stare at the clock wondering when I can eat again. I just want to crawl in bed and have this day over already!!! Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

4 days until D day!
SO I am counting down the days until my new diet attempt! 4 MORE!! I am already planning what I am going to eat and what times I will eat what. I am little bit of a planner :) For my last meal (not quite my last, but close) Erik and I are going to the Chessecake Factory on Friday to celebrate our 10 year anniversary!! I am really excited. I realized last night while looking over their menu online that I love food a little too much!! I get excited just to go out. A little sad I think. I am going to still enjoy going out, but I will be making better food choices when I do go out, which will be hard. I have always believed, why go out if you are only going to eat a salad, if you are going out get something you like!! WOW was I ever wrong :) I have also been doing a 100 squat challenge and I am the third day into it. I added 100 crunches to it too! So for the month of August I am doing 100 squats and 100 crunches a day. I split into 2 times, because frankly 100 at a time is tough :) I also have Elijah doing it with me so it makes it more fun! Even Kaydence was getting in on the fun!! More on Monday!!

I fell of the band wagon.... AGAIN!!!
I have been asked a few times, "when are you going to post on your blog again?" My response is I have nothing to blog about, I am not following any diet or eating plan. I don't want to be full of excuses, but LIFE HAPPENS!! But after seeing pictures of myself at my cousin's wedding this weekend I realize that I NEED TO DO SOMETHING AND SOON!! My dad gave me about 3 weeks of his Medifast food (He has lost about 50lbs on it in the last 4 months) I am going to start this and after the 3 weeks keep the same routine with regular food. It is too expensive for me to buy their food, although I would love to do this until I reach my goal weight! I will start blogging again when I start this plan. I am hoping to start in a week and a half. (August 9th) I want to wait until after my anniversary.

Week 3 weigh in
Ok so I lost 1lb since last week. That means I am still up 1lb. I think that it is due to my period. So we will see what happens next week. I made myself a mini goal today as I was walking... I want to loose 6lbs by my birthday, that leaves me 17 days. I believe I can do it. So I vow to you all to exercise 3-4 times a week, drink only water and Crystal Lite, NO SWEETS!!, and to stick to my diet!!! I can do this :) After I meet this goal I will give myself another small goal.
I went for a walk today!! 2 miles in 45 minutes, that is 5 minutes faster than the last time!!! Please call me, message me, or FB me to see how I am doing. I will continue to post weekly results.

Week 2 weigh in
I gained 2lbs this week. We were traveling this weekend and it was hard to be good while on the road. We will plan ahead this weekend so that we don't have a repeat!! On top of that Elijah got pink eye on Sunday and is still out of school. I am hoping that he can return tomorrow. Only 8 days left for him! He is excited, but more excited to start first grade. It will be here before he knows it. I have been doing good these last few days eating wise. I just need to make sure I get in all my water. I think that it is suppose to rain the rest of this week, so I won't be able to get a walk in. When are we suppose to have summer weather??? I am tired of this every other day crap!!! PLEASE GOD bring the sunshine!!!

Week 1 weigh in
I have lost 4lbs and 1 inch off my waist this last week :) Erik lost 3lbs and 1 inch as well. I had a better day controlling my hunger yesterday. I am not sure if it had to do with the weight loss and knowing that this is working or if I just knew it was Monday. Weekends are harder especially when you veg out at home all weekend.
I have decided not to blog everyday. I will definitely blog on weigh in days and try to do at least 2 more during the week so you know how I am doing. It is just getting really tough to remember to do this every night.

I was out until late last night on a date with my hubby that I didn't post yesterday's plan. We went to a coffee shop in Ballard for a concert with some friends and then went to Dick's for a bite afterwards. It has been awhile since I have had Dick's and it was good!! Today I was busy cleaning for company and at the last minute I found out that she couldn't make it. We rescheduled for next week, but now I get to enjoy a clean house while it lasts. Although that won't be long. As I type I have spongebob paper all over the living room and bathroom! It didn't even last an hour :) I spent the evening catching up on some shows and making tutu's. I did good on my diet today! No exercise unless housework counts... which it should because I was sweating while doing it. I also got in my water, which is getting easier.

Today was one of those hungry days. I am not sure if it was because of my workout or not, but this evening all I want was to eat and eat food full of carbs and sugar. I didn't though. I made popcorn after dinner and that really hit the spot! I worked out with Michelle again today. We did the Wii fit for an hour and I am sore!!!

Today was a little tougher than yesterday since I was out most of the day, but I was good... no GREAT on my eating. I made myself some breakfast before Bible Study so I wouldn't be tempted and came home for lunch before I went to a friends house. AND I also brought my own snack with me!! I came home to make dinner and then went back to Michelle's house. I again was under my sugars/carbs. I think it is easier to just skip out on the carbs, the sugars are harder, they are in EVERYTHING, and when you only get 15 grams a day it makes it hard to decide what is best.

So for my first day I did fairly well. It was hard for me to remember that I couldn't just eat because it was in front of me. Like snacking on the kid's food! I ate within my carbs and sugar and I didn't feel hungry in between meals. I also got in 9 cups of water today!! I think it helped that it was warm and I couldn't have anything else to drink :)

Today is a NEW day!!
Erik and I have officially started our new eating plan!! I will post tonight all my foods and exercises. I am really encouraged that this new eating plan will be really great for me!! I weighed in this morning and measured my waist and I have lost 4lbs since coming home from my cruise, which is a surprise to me since I haven't really been trying. I am still 2lbs from my lowest weight, but hopefully I will loose that this week :)

A new plan...
So I know that I said I was going to start posting again this week, but I haven't started my new eating plan this week as I was hoping to. I WILL be starting on Monday. So I figured I would post today with what my new plan is all about. I starting the Belly Fat Cure. I basically just keep track of sugar and carbs. I only get 15 grams of sugar and 6 servings (about 20 grams) of carbs a day!! I have been planning this out for a few weeks now and I think this should be very easy for me to follow, plus Erik will be doing it with me so that should help! So when I put what I eat down it will have a number like this 3/2, it means I had 3 sugars and 2 carbs. If you have any questions let me know and if you want to join me I would love the support!!

Today was a great day!! I got another walk in and some much needed stuff done around the house. I think that it is funny how I make sure the house is really clean BEFORE I leave on vacation. I know my MIL won't mind a little mess, but I think I would feel better knowing that it is clean. I have a few more loads of laundry to do and clean my kitchen. I also still have to pack!!

Today started off good, but again after lunch I was sick all afternoon. I am not sure if it is what I ate, how much I ate or even if my morning coffee had anything to do with it. Maybe it was my medicine or even my walk. I would like to know so that I can prevent it next time. I did manage to get a lot of stuff done around the house. Only a few things left to do before I leave. I know you will miss, but I will be back. Thursday will be my last post until I return on May 9!! I will be posting some pictures here as well as facebook shortly after I return. Don't be too jealous, it has only taken us 10 years to do a big trip like this :)

Today I started preparing to leave on my cruise. I made a list of things I want done around the house as well as packed. I managed to get everything on my to do list done today, except the dishes, but I can do that in the morning. I went for my walk this morning and took a new way home. I think it is the same distance wise but it was nice change of view, plus I found my dream home and it's for sale!! I am not sure of the price but I am sure it is out of my range! I will have to make this my new permanent route! I started inputting all my food intake on www.livestrong.com so now I can also tell you my calorie intake.

Today started off good, but is ending on a sour note. I have some sort of bug that is making me sick to my stomach. I tried making dinner for my family and had to wait until Erik got home so he could finish it. I think it was my lunch that is not agreeing with me since I was fine before that. Today was one of those days were all you want to do is lay around and hang out! I ended up going to Macaroni Grill with my sister for lunch and then went to my friends, but we never worked out, we just hung out all evening. It was fun just sitting around watching the kids play. Yesterday was one of those days where nothing goes right and I was in a mood! It started with Kaydence getting up around 6:45am and not wanting to go back to sleep. (I was up until after midnight too, because I thought I was going to sleep in) Then when Elijah got up he was moody and not wanting to listen. My day really didn't start off right. I had to go grocery shopping and all before 1pm. I was exhausted by the time I came home, but lucky for me Kaydence took a nap so I could rest. I ended up getting a massive migraine that evening and Erik ruined dinner so we ended up getting pizza. I was happy for bed time last night. TODAY is a new day!! I am suppose to meet my sister for lunch and work out tonight. Here is to a great day!

Tuesday April 20
Sorry I didn't get to this last night. Erik and I were on a date until kinda late! We went to the Olive Garden and went to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D. It was pretty good, although it should be called Alice in Wonderland 2 as it really was a sequel. I love watching 3D movies they are very cool. I did fairly well at dinner. I feel like I could have really pigged out and ate everything, but I was good and only ate half. I even let Erik take my leftovers for lunch today so that I wouldn't be tempted today!

Monday April 19
Today was another beautiful day! I walked Elijah to school today so I got my exercise in! It felt tougher than normal because it was so warm outside. Some of you may know that I am very warm blooded and I hate being hot, so days like today exercising is not my friend! But I managed through it and got it done! I am really getting on myself about my diet today because I have gained a few pounds. I am not sure if it has anything to do with my period or just that all I want to do is eat, but today I was good and back on track :)

Today started out as a lazy day and turned into a day full of cleaning! We got some much needed things done, but still need to go down to storage. We are getting everything in line for when we are gone on the cruise. We leave in 2 weeks!! It's very exciting! I am all full of hormones so my mood has been all over the place today. Friday April 16
Today was full of cramps, bloating, eating, vegging, disappointment and joy! Oh what fun it is being a woman!! As I am typing this I am dealing with some major cramps :P This is not fun and was not missed!! Erik is out tonight with a buddy so the kids and I rented a movie and now they are asleep and I am in the dark watching my shows!

Happy Tax day!! I did mine back in Feb and have already spent the money. It went straight to our cruise, which we leave in 2 weeks!! I have had a very hungry day, I think it had a lot to do with me starting my period today. it has been 9 months since I have had one, so I am expecting this one to be bad, but so far it hasn't. I did get my walk in today! Yeah me!!

So I forgot to do this last night! I remembered this morning when I got out of bed (at 9am) So I will do it now! I started working out with a friend yesterday. We did the Wii fit yesterday and we will be mixing up what we do, walk one day, go to the gym, Wii fit, etc. I worked hard for 30 minutes. I felt great afterwards, but hit a wall around 5pm! I was tired:) Last night was an easy going night and Erik even helped me clean the house! It all somehow got done last night that I have nothing to do today... OK that's not true, I can ALWAYS do laundry!

Today started off kinda rocky. My meds made me really sick and then I got a really bad sharp pain in my lower chest. Luckily it went away by noon. Also today Elijah's school had the teachers working at McDonald's for a fundraiser, so we had that for dinner. I also met up with a friend and we are starting a new workout schedule tomorrow!! I am hoping to get some good sleep tonight and hopefully feel better in the morning!

Monday April 12
So I wasn't able to get to a computer this weekend and I decided that I wanted to post at night instead of the morning. I figured that it would help me remember what I ate that day! I got a new diet book on Friday called Belly Fat Cure. It is a lot like what I am doing now, but a little different. I am really thinking about doing this diet instead of the on I am on. I will explain what I am doing when I start. You basically count sugar and carbs. It is full of some really great recipes too. I forgot to add on Friday that I lost 2lbs last week for a total of 18!! I am excited that this is working, slowly but surely!

So I got a surprise visit from my cousins last night! It was really short, they had to be at the airport at 6:30 this morning, but it was still nice to visit. Wednesday April 7
Well I didn't get my nap in yesterday but I wasn't overly tired either. Kaydence started feeling better by noon and was back to normal by dinner. My mom came over to help me watch her so I could take Elijah to school and go get some crackers and juice for Kaydence. I love having family close by!! I did well on my eating yesterday. I did go out to eat again for lunch, but I tried to make the right choices. I also got all my water in again!! YEAH!!! That can be hard to do. I didn't get in my exercise, but I am hoping to walk to Elijah's school again today. The sun is out and hopefully will stay out!

Tuesday April 6
Well I have been up since 4:45am with maybe a 45 minute nap since then. Kaydence woke up and started throwing up. So my plan of sleeping in went out the window!! Monday April 5
I was good yesterday!! I did have a few pieces of candy, but over all I did great!! I even got a walk in for exercise!! I am hoping today will be just as good. I upped my medicine last night and I feel a little nauseous this morning. That happens when I up it, and I still need to up it 2 more times before I am what I should be at. It is a long process, but at least I will be healthier in the end!

Friday April 2
Yesterday was cold, wet and windy. I managed to get some much needed stuff done around the house. I did have to venture out and get a few groceries for Easter. Erik had worship practice until really late so it was just the kids and I. I had a few wrong choices food wise but sometimes you want what you want. Overall I think I am starting to get back on track.

Wednesday March 31
Well yesterday was another bad day, diet wise. I did make it to the park today!! The kids had a blast! I started potty training Kaydence and bought her some treats for when she goes and I ate quite a few myself. And to top it off I didn't exercise. I was planning on it, but while I was doing the dishes I sliced my toes. I was moving the garbage and something sharp was in it and when I put it over my foot it cut 2 toes. I am better today but I was in too much pain to get my shoes on and exercise. So I will try again today. I am determined to be better today!!

Tuesday March 30
Yesterday was full of excitement, well at least the morning was. As I was heading out the door to go to bible study my sister called to tell me that she was coming home a day early. So that meant I had to get all the girl's stuff together as well as some of my Kaydee's Kloset stuff to go over with my mom. I hate feeling rushed first thing in the morning, but we made it!! I had a few little cheats, I think I might be ovulating cause all I want is sweets :) And to top it all off my sister brought me some salt water taffy from the coast. (Ok I did ask for it) I did leave half the bag with my dad so I wouldn't be tempted to eat the whole bag.

Monday March 29
So I weighed myself yesterday and I lost 2 lbs last week. That surprised me knowing how bad my weekend was!! I tried to add a picture yesterday of the kids and I coloring eggs, but it wouldn't work so today I put a newer picture of my kids up! I never did get to my exercises yesterday. I cleaned my house (there was a lot to do) and ended up meeting a friend when I normally would have exercised. So I will try today! I have Bible Study this morning and then I am going to head to my mom's for a few hours and let all the kids play together.

Saturday March 27
Yesterday was full of spring cleaning!! We managed to clean out our walk in closet! (It was so full we couldn't get in anymore) It is now Kaydence's room!! It really works great with all her little furniture. She loves it! She even slept great in there, so I think it will work great for us. Because we were so busy all day we ordered pizza for dinner which is a cheat for me. I realize that I tend to cheat more on the weekends then the week days, so weigh in tomorrow might be the same. I might have to switch my weigh in days to Friday. Also I haven't done my couch to 5k training this week. I hope to start week 5 this week. So now I will be a week behind, oh well at least I am exercising!!!

Friday March 26
Yesterday was fine, nothing too exciting! My sister came by and dropped off my nephew for a few days so I have my hands full of some wild boys! I will exchange the boys for the girls tomorrow and I hope that isn't as wild! I did cheat again with my dinner, but only a little.

Thursday March 25
Yesterday I was sick, so I stayed in bed as much as possible. I am feeling a lot better today, but not totally up to par yet. I was able to get a few chores done today, so my hubby should be happy!! I also got my nephew, Josh, for a few days and then I will exchange Elijah and Josh for Peyton and Evie for a few days! This should be a fun week!! At least we will get to do some fun Easter stuff:) I didn't have much of an appetite yesterday just like I thought I would.

Wednesday March 24
Well I didn't have my date night with Erik last night. Elijah threw a HUGE fit at school that I ended up bringing him home, so then he didn't get to go to his friends house. It's ok we will do it soon. I am still feeling like crap today, so I guess I will have another day of resting (or trying to) Nothing on the schedule for today except for cleaning out my closet if I am up to it. We are thinking about moving Kaydence into our walk-in closet so the kids can have their own room. We will see if it works out or not.

Tuesday March 23
Have you ever had one of those days where all you want to do it eat? Well that was yesterday for me, I was hungry the whole day!! I made sure that I ate the right foods though :) I am still dealing with a sore throat and I am tired all the time. Kaydence slept all night and even slept in!! So I got some good sleep last night.

Yesterday I was extremely tired. I had been up since 5am and I got no nap in. Although I did get some exercise in!! Kaydence slept much better last night and today I feel refreshed, although I do have a slight sore throat. I did pretty good with my diet yesterday too!

Sunday March 21
ONE WEEK DOWN!!! Yesterday was fun, I went to church to work in the nursery and after I went shopping with my mom. I got the kids new Easter outfits and some Easter gifts. I was extremely tired when I got back, I am not sure why... I wasn't shopping that long. I was really grumpy too, so I think it was something hormonal. Always fun! So for dinner we just got pizza, but I only had 1 slice with a few bread sticks. Today should be interesting, since I have been up since 5am. I am not sure if I will get back to sleep, I know once I do both kids will be up!!

Saturday March 20
So yesterday morning Erik and I got our enhanced driver's license and we were at the DMV for 2 hours, which I guess isn't too bad for a Saturday morning. I stayed in the car with the kids watching a movie for the first hour and a half. I did leave the house without having breakfast and we went to Dairy Queen for lunch. I did cheat a little, I mean how can I resist chocolate covered macadamia nuts from Hawaii??? I only had 4 through out the day and they were good!! Man I can get myself in trouble talking this way :) Being home all day vegging with my hubby can get me in trouble diet wise. So yesterday was not the greatest on my diet.

Friday March 19
Yesterday was a crazy day! I only had Kaydence home with me, but I was glad because she was whining and crying ALL day! Even cuddling with Mama wasn't helping. She did take a long nap so that let me get enough rest in to do it all over again when she got up. On top of that I had to go to the store, make a salad, make banana bread (w/ WW flour and Splenda. Kinda dry, but still good), do the dishes, shower, laundry and get directions to the potluck. I was really stressing by the time Erik got home that I left without putting my make-up on. The potluck was fun and I did fairly well with my diet. Although I did have a brownie!! It was yummy! Over all it was a good day diet wise.

Thursday March 18
Well I did cheat yesterday :( BUT I didn't cheat as bad as I could have. I guess you could always cheat bad everyday, but when something you love is in your face it is hard to say no, but I did say a little! I had a great playdate with Heather and then I got to visit my parents who I haven't seen in a few weeks. Also I almost took Elijah to the ER last night. He split his lip on a stick, but it stopped bleeding and the swelling went down and it looks a lot better. Thank God!! I hate it when my kids are hurt.

Today I am feeling better! Still a little tired, but that could with being up for an hour in the middle of the night with Kaydence. Today will be challenging as I will be gone all day. We have a play date this morning and then I am going to see my parents after. They have been in Hawaii for the last 9 days and I missed them :) Yesterday I got in all my water and I followed my diet without cheating. I even got in run #2 for this week.

So I am very tired today! I think my workout got the best of me :) Yesterday I was really busy and ended up getting some fast food, but I made sure that it followed my new eating rules and that I didn't over eat.

I am finally getting back on all my meds :) I haven't been on birth control since July and I haven't had a period either! A new beginning
So I have been on my diet since Jan, but I needed some extra accountability so I decided to start a blog! A little history on me first then I will go into my diet and exercise plan. When I was 16 I was diagnosed with Poly-cycistic Ovarian Syndrome. For those of you who don't know what the is, it basically means I don't ovulate as well as have an insulin imbalance. Since I have this it is very easy for me to gain weight and hard to loose it. Since Jan I have cut out sugar and in Feb I cut out white flour from my diet. I have decided to do this for a year. So far I have lost 14lbs. I have also started training for a 5k. I am currently in week 4 of the 9 week training. It is getting hard too! I have decided to start this blog to share my feelings, struggles, my food intake and my weight loss!! Please feel free to comment with any help! Thanks for being on this adventure with me!!
Starting tomorrow I will post everything I ate today and how my day went, as well as my goals for the that day.
